The street art. This area was filled with street art.

We left the Hotel at 9:00 am. A “Global walk in East end” with Wayne was arranged by our teacher just the day before. Wayne was a journalist, and had his own Street Art Magazine. (LSD - London Street Art Design) Due to his background he was able to tell us about the Street Art and its development during the years. He knew everything. Saw everything. Wayne showed, among others, art pieces by an artist called C215. C215 mainly made stencils which are several, layers of cardboard with different out cuts in different colors. The art in the Streets were not exclusively giant paintings of big men or big cats eating someone, but also small paintings hidden on door frames smaller than the size of a hand most of them with strong political statements. Wayne told us that these art pieces from C215 could sell for 10.000 pounds if they were painted on a canvas.

More street art. A girl touching her cheek. How touching.
We now had the task to make some people answer our survey about London being a multicultural city. Some people ignored us. Some were skeptic. Some did it with eager. It took quite an effort to get the answers, but that was just part of the whole challenge. In Brick Lane where we wondered about, we saw a huge price difference on food compared to the mid-city. 3.50 pounds and you would get a huge dish of rice and curry. At Leicester Square you might be able to get a small conservative slice of pizza for the same price.
Even the street art is multicultural.
Maersk in London! Talk about multicultural.

At 19 pm the music students went to the Garrick Theatre to see the Chicago Musical.  And what a musical! Those Londoners are quite good at it, actually. The story was about a girl, Roxy Hart, who shot her husband, and how the lawyer, Billy Flynn, is supposed to help her (For the cost of 5000 grand…) Hart only wants attention and to be in the spotlight, just the same as the actor Kelly, who previously has measured some drastic methods when she figured out, that her husband had an affair with her sister. As mentioned, they both want to become stars and have the press’ interest. Roxy Hart makes up a story about being pregnant, which attracts even more attention from the press. But Roxy Hart has to admit in the end, that things not always go as she wants them to.
The singing and dancing is phenomenal. The actors have invested a great effort in making this play reality, and nothing negative is to say about it. The music in this play is set up to be a “mini Big Band”. The wind instruments played a big role in the music, and generally made it sound jazzy and bigger than its real size compared to the amount of musicians. Another thing about the play is the use of props. There were hardly any props, and therefore it was a special experience to see how they performed. It would definitely be something different, if there were stage requisites. It was almost like human requisites instead. The Chicago Musical is great entertainment for those who are looking for a good story, performed by professional actors in a musical and extraordinary way.

At this market we had our surveys anwsered. This picture is by the way: Awesome.
